Obituary of Therese Thomas

Therese ‘Terry’ Havranck Thomas, 57, of 1038 Crosswinds Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, formerly of New Jersey departed this life unexpectedly at her home December 18, 2003. She resided in Long Branch & Middletown, NJ, before moving to NC with her family in 1990. Her first career was in nursing, and more recently she worked in customer service. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Joseph M. Thomas, a daughter, Carolyn T. Dukes and husband William K. Dukes, and a son, Jeffrey Edward Thomas, all of Elizabeth City, NC. She was predeceased by her dear son, Joseph Michael (J) Thomas. She also leaves a brother, Robert V. Havranck and wife Mary of Shrewburg, NJ, two sisters, Mary J. Havranck of Long Branch, NJ, and Sally Guilmart and husband Kenneth of Durham, NC, and two nieces and one nephew. A Funeral Mass will be conducted, Monday, December 22, 2003 at 10:00 am in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church with Father James Buchholz. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Johns Cemetery, in Queens, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, and at other times at the residence. Memorial donation may be made to Union Mission Ministries, P.O.
