Obituary of James Armstrong

EC ARMSTONG Elizabeth City, NC James Inez Armstrong James Inez Armstrong, age 70, of 1274 US Highway 17 South, Elizabeth City, NC, died Sunday, December 19, 2004, at his residence. He was a native of Tyrrell County, NC, and was son of the late James Fred Armstrong, and Aletha Blake Armstrong, and was husband of Mary Jordan Armstrong of the residence. He was retired from the United States Coast Guard ARSC Civil Service, and was a member of Woodville Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Inter County Ruitan Club, and has served as secretary and district governor of the Albemarle District. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, James M. Armstrong of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Jonathon , Blake and Joshua Armstrong all of the residence, and two grandchildren. A funeral service will be Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 2:00 PM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, with the Rev. Roland Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be at the residence on 1274 US Highway 17 South, Elizabeth City, NC.
