Obituary of John Brad Henderson

JOHN ‘BRAD’ HENDERSON, 51, died Friday, December 24, 2004, at his home. Mr. Henderson was born in Newark, NJ and has lived for the past 20 years in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Mr. Henderson was employed at Sea Haven Realty and Construction as a construction project manager. Prior to moving to Kill Devil Hills, Mr. Henderson was a teacher at the Pennington School in Pennington, NJ. Brad was an eagle scout and he loved to fish and was a faithful fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Jets. He had the gift of music and played the piano, and the banjo. His greatest love was uplifting songs of Blue Grass music. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his father, Maurice James Henderson. Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife Louise Dodson Henderson and his children, a son John Henderson and two daughters Mariah and Martha Henderson of Kill Devil Hills, NC. His mother Adeline Henderson of Dover, NJ. His two sisters Lynn Troianelli and Pamela Jenkins and a brother Jeff Henderson and their families.
A celebration of life will be held at Son Rise Church of Christ in Kill Devil Hills, at 3:00 p.m. December 31, 2004 with minister Homer Styons officiating. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Funeral Home on Thursday, December 30th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a trust fund has been set up at Cooperative Bank in Kill Devil Hills for his children.
