Obituary of Grey Griggs

SOUTHERN SHORES, NC GREY SMITH GRIGGS, 78, of Southern Shores, died, Sunday, December 28, 2003, in Elizabeth City. Mrs. Griggs was born in Winnsboro, S.C. and was a retired teacher with Camden County Public Schools. She was a member of Duck United Methodist Church. Mrs. Griggs was the daughter of the late William Rogers and Zulee Funderburke Smith and the wife of the late Brantley E. Griggs, Sr. Surviving are two daughters; Jane Hand Moseley of Southern Shores and Cynthia Grey Hand of Norfolk and her step-daughter; Elsie Griggs Pugh of Camden, two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great step-grandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at 3:00 p.m. in Duck United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Clift.
