Obituary of Ollie Hux

Nags Head, NC Ollie Keeter Hux, 90, of Nags Head, NC died, Tuesday, December 28, 2004 in Britthaven of Outer Banks. Mrs. Hux was born in Halifax County, NC and was a retired weaver for J.P. Stevens and Company. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mamie Cushing Keeter and the wife of the late Bernard Carlton Hux. Mrs. Hux is survived by one son, Donald C. Hux, Sr and wife Arline of Manns Harbor, NC; two grandchildren, Don Hux, Jr. of Washington, NC and William ‘Bill’ Hux of Roanoke Rapids, NC; five great grandchildren, Travis Hux, Tyler Hux and Tanner Hux all of Manns Harbor, NC and Trey Hux and Will Wilkins both of Washington, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hux was predeceased by her six sisters and four brothers. A celebration of life will be held at Wrenn Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Friday, December 31, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Sue Owens with burial in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC. Friends may join the family at Wrenn Funeral Home for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army. Twiford Colony Chapel Manteo is in charge of local arrangements.
