Obituary of Maria VanBeurden

EC VanBeurden Maria VanBeurden Native of Semarang, Indonesia Mrs. Maria Johanna Kappers VanBeurden, age 85, of 400 Inlet Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, died Saturday, January 1, 2005, at her residence. A native of Samarang, Indonesia, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Kappers and Rante Kappers and the widow of Franciscus X. M. VanBeurden. She was an eligibility specialist with the State of Washington’s Unemployment Division and a member of First United Methodist Church, Renton, WA. Mrs. VanBeurden is survived by a daughter, Sonja W. Hibbard of Elizabeth City, NC; two sons, Nicholas A. VanBeurden of Elizabeth City, NC, and Eric B. VanBeurden of Boise, ID; a half-sister, Annie Kappers of the Netherlands; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul R. VanBeurden A memorial service will be at Cann Memorial Presbyterian Church Saturday, January 8, 2005, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Leigh Gillis officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence.
