Obituary of Linda Knowles

Linda K. Knowles CHESAPEAKE ‘ Linda Kathleen Knowles, 54, of the 900 block of Wheatfield Way, passed away in her home January 18, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Rock Falls, IL, she was a cherished daughter, devoted mother, and loving wife. She was also a member of Church of the Ascension Catholic Church and formerly an Assistant Vice President with Bank of America. She leaves to honor her memory her husband, John K. Knowles; one son, Aaron Rousseau and his wife Lenora of Weston, FL; two daughters, Michelle Fernando and her husband Roldan of Chesapeake and Alicia Gordon and her husband Jeffrey of Virginia Beach; two stepchildren, John Knowles, Jr. and Katherine Knowles of Chesapeake; one granddaughter, Gabrielle Rousseau; her parents, William and Geraldine Wike of Rock Falls, IL; six brothers, Gary Wike and Tim Wike of Texas, Ted Wike, John Wike, and Jim Wike of Illinois, and Tom Wike of Chesapeake; a host of other relatives and friends. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted Friday, January 21, 2005 at 7:30 pm at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church. The family will receive friends in the Church of the Ascension Chapel beginning at 5:30 pm prior to the Mass. Interment will be at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
