Obituary of Erma Riddick

EC Riddick Erma Frances Riddick Gates County, NC native Miss Erma Frances Riddick, age 87, of 1700 West Ehringhaus Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at Winslow’s Memorial Nursing Home. Miss Riddick, a native of Gates County, NC, was the daughter of the late William Biddle Riddick and Kate Erma Eure Riddick. She was a homemaker, a former volunteer for the Albemarle Hospital Auxiliary, a member of First United Methodist Church, past president of the Bailey Sunday School Class, the U.M.C. Women’s Circle, and led story time for the preschool children for many years. Survivors include two nieces, Jean Inge of South Mills, NC, and Sue Riddick of Powell’s Point, NC; and two nephews, William Brooks Riddick, Jr., and Gordon Etheridge, both of Raleigh, NC. A memorial service will be Friday, January 21, 2005, at 1:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. T. R. Miller and the Rev. Gary Murphree officiating. Burial will be in the Parker United Methodist Church Cemetery, Corapeake, NC. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home immediately after the service and at other times at the residence of her niece, Jean Inge, 202 Canal Drive, South Mills, NC.
