Obituary of Marshall Twiddy

HARBINGER, NC TWIDDY Marshall Hugh Twiddy, 56, of 386 Harbinger Ridge Road, Harbinger, NC, died Tuesday January 18, 2005, at the Albemarle Hospital. Mr. Twiddy was born December 10, 1948, in Pasquotank County. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, member of the Mighty Wind United Methodist Church in Kill Devil Hills, and was a mortgage loan officer with Cooperative Bank of Corolla, and member of the Cooperative Bank’s Presidents Club, member of the Kitty Hawk Rotary Club serving as secretary of the club, he had served as president of the Currituck Chamber of Commerce, and was a board member of the Currituck Community Foundation, and member of the Memphis Masonic Lodge #118. A celebration of life will be held Friday at 5:00 P. M. at the Twiford Funeral Home Colony Chapel in Manteo, NC, with the Rev. Tal Madison officiating. Survivors include his wife; Janet Mainord Twiddy, daughter Arica Najean Twiddy Mc Cord and her husband M. Lance Mc Cord, Jr., of Mebane, NC, son Matthew Allen Twiddy and his wife Katherine Butler Twiddy of Virginia Beach, Va., his mother Phyllis Haskett Sawyer of Elizabeth City, NC, his father Gideon Twiddy and stepmother Charlottte Twiddy of Camden, NC, one brother Michael Raynor Twiddy and his wife Ann, half brother Greg Twiddy and his wife Patricia, half sister Dawn T. Broyles and her husband Frank William Broyles all of Elizabeth City, NC, and his niece Hannah Martha Twiddy of Elizabeth City, NC. The family will join friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. at the home of Mr. Twiddy, 386 Harbinger Ridge Road, Harbinger, NC.
