Obituary of William Harrison

William C. Harrison Chesapeake ‘ William Carroll Harrison, 84, died January 26, 2005. Mr. Harrison was born in South Norfolk to the late Silas B. and Patti Sue Bobbitt Harrison. He had a strong faith and was very supportive of the First Church of the Nazarine where he was a life long member. Mr. Harrison retired from the Ford Motor Company after working for them for 30 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Audrie May Halstead Harrison; daughter, Barbara Hawley Ford and a host of brothers and sisters. Survivors include, one daughter, Joy Harrison Christensen of Lolo, MT; one son, Bryan L. Hawley of Chesapeake; one sister, Virginia Doxey; seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7:00 until 8:30 pm.
