Obituary of Iva Jordan

Nags Head, NC Iva Tate Jordan, 78, died on February 4, 2005 at Britthaven of Outer Banks. She was born in Duck, NC on August 17, 1926 to the late Samson D. and Ruth Scarborough Tate. Before her retirement, she worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Price’s, Inc. in Norfolk, VA. Ms. Jordan is survived by her brother, Everett D. Tate and wife Suzanne of Nags Head, NC; two nephews, Douglas D. Cornette of Spot, NC and Mark D. Tate and wife Pam of Manteo, NC; and two great nephews, Scott and Grant Tate both of Manteo, NC. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie M. Tate and a sister, Minnie P. Cornette. A graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Austin Cemetery, Kitty Hawk, NC by the Rev. David Clift. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, NC is in charge of arrangements.
