Obituary of Aubrey E. Rogers

MANTEO, NC AUBREY E. ROGERS, 79, of Manteo, NC died Monday, February 07, 2005 in a Nags Head nursing home. Mr. Rogers was born in Manteo, on December 10, 1025, the only son of the late Marvin and Janie Shannon Rogers. He is survived by cousins. He was educated at Oak Ridge Military Institute, East Carolina Teachers College, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII and in the U.S. Air Force during the conflicts in Korea and Vietnam. He was retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. A graveside service will be held in Manteo Cemetery on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 10:00 am. It was Mr. Rogers’ requested that no flowers be sent. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
