THEOTIS FRESHWATER ‘DOC’ LOWRY Retired NC. Forestry Service Theotis Freshwater ‘Doc’ Lowry, 89, of 1610 West Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Sunday, February 13, 2005, in the Albemarle Hospital. He was born in Pasquotank County, NC to the late Dr. Freshwater Lowry and Sarah Louise Chappell Lowry. Mr. Lowry was retired from the N. C. Forestry Service, a member of the First United Methodist Church, and the B.P.O. Elks #856, and a former member of the Elizabeth City Lion’s Club. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Pritchard Lowry of the home, three daughters, Yvonne L. Brown of Greensboro, NC, Annette L. Marrow of Greenville, NC and Terri L. Fromknecht of Carmel, IN; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also, he is survived by two special friends, Rubell Spruill and Sandra Gibson. Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at 11:00 AM in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. The family suggests memorial gifts may be made to one’s favorite charity. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the funeral home lobby and at other times at their residence, 1610 West Church Street, Elizabeth City.
