Obituary of Saint Elmo Caroon

Saint Elmo ‘S. E.’ Caroon, 83, of 125 South Waterlily Road, Coinjock,
NC, died Saturday January 22, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Caroon was born December 25, 1921, in Pamlico County, and was the son of the late Saint Elmo Caroon, Sr. and Anna Beatrice Edwards Caroon. He served in the U. S. Army and retired after 22 years of service as a Master sergeant and warrant officer, he also was a retired fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Godfrey Edwards Caroon, one daughter Carolyn Michelle Caroon of Coinjock, NC, two sisters Helen C. Hardison of Bayboro, NC and Glenda C. O’Neal of Coinjock, NC, five brothers Jim Caroon of Culpepper, VA, Bob Caroon of Bells Island, NC, Reginald Caroon of Lowland, NC, Cash Caroon of Southport, NC, and Tom Caroon of Oriental, NC, two granddaughters, Amy May of Coinjock, NC and Ginger Wright of Grandy, NC, and two great-grandchildren Katelynn May and Emily May.
A memorial service will be held at the Rehoboth Baptist Church, in Maple, NC, Friday, February 18, 2005, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lamar Herndon and Rev. Charles H. Wellons officiating.
The family will join friends following the memorial service, and at the home 125 Waterlily Road, Coinjock, NC.
