Mary Edna Seward , Chesapeake
Mary Edna Seward, 65, died Feb. 12, 2005. She was a native of St. Pauls, N.C., and the daughter of the late Amanda Stokes of Elizabeth City and the late Nash Hollingsworth of Norfolk. Mrs. Seward was predeceased by her stepfather, Thomas Stokes, formerly of Elizabeth City; a brother-in-law, Ed; and two brothers, Dennis Stokes and Tommy Stokes. She is survived by her husband, Alfred P. Seward; a daughter, Sharon Zimbelman and husband Hugh of Chesapeake; four sons, Donald War Jr. and friend Chrissy of Chesapeake, Mark Seward of Glasco, N.Y., Christopher Seward and friend Pam of Abingdon, Md., and Michael Seward of Denver, Colo.; six sisters, Dolores Meade of Florala, Ala., Pat Mitchell and husband Bill of Elizabeth City, Jean Patane and husband Salvator of Milton, Fla., Janice Thompson and husband David of St. Pauls, Judy Stokes, and Nola Culpeper and husband Gene, all of Elizabeth City; two brothers, Donnie Stokes and friend Hope of Elizabeth City and James Hollingsworth and wife Lisa of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Melissa Gammon and friend Brian Reichelderfer of Chesapeake, Michael Ward of Paulsboro, N.J., Giovanni Ward and Kenneth Ward of Chesapeake; and one great-grandson, Ethan Reichelderfer of Chesapeake. A visitation will be held at Twiford Funeral Home, 929 South Battlefield Blvd., Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls, Thursday at 2 p.m.
