Obituary of Bob Yates

Hertford, NC Yates Bob Gene Yates, 76, of 356 Lake Road, Hertford, NC, died Thursday at his home. Mr. Yates was born in Centrahoma, OK, and was the son of the late Louis Napoleon and Dora Ellen Harper Yates. He was retired from the U. S. Navy having retired with the rank of SK2. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Marie Potter Yates, two daughters Sharon R. Cooper and her husband Bobby of Hertford, NC and Suzanne V. Wisheart and husband Neil of Currituck, NC, one son Bernie S. Taylor and his wife Lisa of Chesapeake, VA, one sister Hazel Y. Taylor of California, a former son-in-law David Steffin of Chesapeake, VA and three grandchildren Josh Steffin, Haley Cooper and Leanna Taylor.
