Obituary of William Silver

Avon, NC William Edward Silver, 57, died on Friday, February 25, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Silver was born in Lancaster, NH and was a Water Plant Superintendent in Washington County, NC. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer during the Vietnam War. Mr. Silver was the son of the late Faye and Mary Riggs Silver and the husband of Shirley Meekins Silver of the home. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Silver Austin and husband Greg of Buxton; one son, William Edward Silver, Jr. and wife Susanne of Winterville; one sister, Sharon Kosinski of Springfield, MA and one grandchild, Aaron Silver of Buxton. A memorial service will be held at Twiford’s Island Chapel, Hatteras, on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 2:00 PM with The Rev. Roger Barnett officiating. Following the service the family will receive friends and relatives at the home of Stanley and Ginger Meekins at 46940 Buxton Oaks Lane, Buxton. Twiford’s Island Chapel, Hattteras, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
