Vernon Hale Sulcer
Chesapeake ‘ Vernon Hale Sulcer 84, passed away March 6, 2005. Born in Baltimore, MD to Ernest and Agnes Sulcer, he married Nina on March 7, 1942. He was a B-26 pilot during World War II.
Vernon was a pilot for the Norfolk-Cape Charles Airline and later a manager at Kline Chevrolet for 25 years. He also resided in Annapolis, MD where he worked for H. E. Dailey Tobacco Co., Inc. He moved back to Chesapeake in 2001.
He is survived by Nina Sulcer, Acrecia Sulcer, widow of son Robert Sulcer of New Kent, VA, son Tim Sulcer of Ignaico, Colorado, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Carolyn Sulcer of Chesapeake, VA, five grandchildren and 4 great grand-children.
A celebration of Vernon’s life will be held on March 13, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Providence United Methodist Church in Quinton, VA. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Gainsborough Ct. Community House, Chesapeake
