Obituary of Lillie Winslow

LILLIE M. WINSLOW Pasquotank County resident Lillie M. Winslow, 99, of 2204 W. Main Street, Elizabeth City died Thursday, March 10, 2005, in the Albemarle Hospital. She was born in Pasquotank County, NC to the late Greenville and Effie Brite Whaley and was the widow of the late Carl Talmadge Winslow, Sr. Mrs. Winslow was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elizabeth City. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy W. Watts of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, C. Talmadge Winslow, Jr. and wife, Sarah Louise, of Elizabeth City, NC; a daughter-in-law, Jeannette Fortunato of Elizabeth City, NC. Also, she is survived by six grandchildren, Robert E. Winslow, Jr. and wife, Debbie, David L. Winslow and wife, Sheila, Tal Winslow, Roy Winslow, Diana Johnson and husband, Walter, and Kathy Winslow; several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise W. Sawyer and a son, Robert E. Winslow, Sr. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 11:00am in the Twiford Memorial Chapel, Church St., by Rev. Glenn D. Greenway. Burial will be in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives in the lobby of the funeral home immediately following the chapel service and at other times at their residence, 2204 W. Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
