Obituary of Betty Hubbard

Betty Hubbard Chesapeake ‘ Betty Hackworth Hubbard, 69, died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Hubbard was born in Old Norfolk County to the late Raymond Lee and Bessie Halstead Hackworth. She was retired from the Chesapeake Public School System and was predeceased by one brother, Raymond Hackworth Jr. Survivors include her loving husband, Major A. Hubbard Jr.; one daughter, Pamela Love Lynn; four sons Rick Love, Scott Evans, Tommy Evans, and Chris Hubbard; sister-in-law Marilyn ‘Babe’ Hackworth; niece Sharon Carey; nine grandchildren, Christopher and Catherine Lynn, Kourtney Love, Nicole, Shannon and Scott Evans Jr, Scott, Megan and Christopher Hubbard Jr; and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake on Monday at 12:00 pm with the Rev. Tracy Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
