Obituary of Evelyn Basnight

Evelyn M. Basnight , Virginia Beach Evelyn M. Basnight, 74, of the 3500 block of Victoria Drive, passed away March 8, 2005. Born in Tyrell County, N.C., to the late Ethel Mae Cohoon and Stewart Dalton Cohoon, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Basnight. She is survived by her loving son, Johnny L. Basnight and wife Bonnie; and four daughters, Teresa L. Bell and husband James of Louisburg, N.C., Fonda R. Rabinski and her fiance Dan of Pennsylvania, Donna J. Gillis and Gail K. Gibson, both of Texas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Tammy Goldsmith and her fiance David of Virginia Beach, Michelle Palmitier and husband Timothy of Pennsylvania, Lisa Basnight, Jan Basnight, both of Virginia Beach, Brad Wright of Pennsylvania, Michael Gillis Jr. of Texas, Uriah Gibson of Virginia, Mikey Rabinski, Sabina Rabinski, both of Pennsylvania, Melissa Basnight of Virginia Beach, Rickey Gibson Jr. and Krista Gibson, both of Virginia; and 11 great-grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date. Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, is handling the arrangements.
