Obituary of Kermit Capps

Kermit Lee Capps, 68, of 675 Chapanoke Road, Hertford, NC died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at his residence. He was born in Goldsboro, NC to the late Joseph and Gladys Capps and was the husband of M. Delores Davis Capps. Mr. Capps was a school bus mechanic for the City of Chesapeake, Va. and an U.S. Army veteran in the Korean Conflict. Besides his wife, Mr. Capps is survived by a daughter, Sebrina Yerger of Middleburg, PA; a son, Daniel Troy Capps of the home; five sisters, four brothers and three grandchildren. Graveside services with military rites will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at 2:00pm in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Rev. Harvey Parrish. The family will share memories of Mr. Cappsé'' life during a visitation Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30pm in Twiford’s Memorial Chapel. In memory of Mr. Capps, the family suggests that memorial gifts be made to the American Cancer Society, 404 Jessup Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909 or to the Albemarle Hospice, PO Box 189, Elizabeth City, NC 27907-0189.
