Obituary of Stanley Leary

STANLEY MITCHELL LEARY Native of Camden County, NC Stanley Mitchell Leary, age 77, died early Monday, March 14, 2005 at his home in Cary. He was born in Camden County, N.C. to Herman Vincent Leary, Sr. and Marie Mitchell Leary. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cary and a 1963 graduate of NCSU and was a Research Consulting Engineer for N.C. State University for 25 years. Mr. Leary was a great man and father and will be fondly remembered always. Mr. Leary is survived by his wife Blanche Harrison Leary of Cary, his two daughters, Zella Leary Hassell and husband LeRoy of Mt. Gilead, N.C. ; and Phoebe Leary Gallagher and husband Jeff of Raleigh ; his brother Hilary Mitchell Leary and wife Kathy of Shiloh, NC; stepfather, George Jordan of Shiloh, N.C.; three grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Herman Vincent Leary, Jr. Funeral services will be held at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City, NC on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 11am by Rev. David Combs. Following the chapel service he will be laid to rest in New Hollywood Cemetery in Elizabeth City. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, March 15, 2005 from 7:00 until 8:30 pm.
