Obituary of Walter “Waldie” Daniels

Nags Head, NC Walter ‘Waldie’ Charles Daniels, 49, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at his parent’s residence in Wanchese. Waldie was employed at Broad Creek Fishing Center as the manager. He was the son of Rev. Elmo and Jean Daniels of Wanchese and the husband of Cecilia L. Daniels. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two children, Michael and Katherine Lee; one brother, Brock H. Daniels of Nags Head; one sister, Tanga Lee Saunders and husband Terry of Manteo; seven nieces and nephews, Tara Gray, Karen Long, Toby Saunders, Laura Daniels, Walter Daniels, Devin Daniels and Gunnar Daniels; a great niece and nephew, Madison Gray and Jeffrey Gray. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ashley Page Daniels. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wanchese Assembly of God on Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 3:00 PM with Dr. David Dalton and Rev. David Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Cudworth Cemetery in Wanchese. The family will receive friends at Twifords Funeral Home, Manteo, Saturday, March 19, 2005 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of his parents, 3850 Mill Landing Road, Wanchese. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, is assisting the family with these arrangements.
