Obituary of Lavinia Sullivan
MANTEO, NC
LAVINIA MARY LARKIN SULLIVAN, 77, of Manteo, NC died Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in a Nags Head nursing home. Mrs. Sullivan, born in Brooklyn, NY, was a retired Housekeeper for the NY State Office of Mental Health and also had been employed with Macy’s Department Store in Quality Assurance. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Outer Banks Senior Fellowship. Mrs. Sullivan was the daughter of the late Henry and Edna Curtin Larkin. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy Jean Ferris.
Mrs. Sullivan is survived by her husband, Joseph James Sullivan of the residence; a daughter, Maureen Ferris and husband, Clarence of Manteo, NC; a son, Joseph J. Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Camille of Berkeley Heights, NJ; a sister, Catherine Beyer of Selden, NY; three brothers, William Larkin of Brooklyn, NY, Timothy Larkin of Port Jefferson, NY, and John Larkin of Riverside, CA; two grandchildren, Joseph and Brianna Sullivan of Berkeley Heights, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Nags Head, on Monday, March 28, 2005 at 10:00 am, with Father Bill Walsh officiating. Burial will be in the Roanoke Island Memorial Gardens. Visitations will be at Twiford Funeral Home, Manteo, on Saturday, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
