Obituary of James Wlikerson

NS WILKERSON James Bruce Wilkerson Native of Wake Co., NC James Bruce Wilkerson, age 80, of 178 Joy’s Creek Road, South Mills, NC, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at his residence. He was a native of Wake County, NC, and was son of the late Archie Wilkerson and Alice Childers Wilkerson. He was the husband of Annie Coltrain Wilkerson of the residence. He was a US Navy Veteran of WW II and the Korean War, a retired supervisor for NARF, and was a member and past commander for the William Clarence Jackson VFW Post 6060. Besides his wife, Mr. Wilkerson is survived by four daughters, Alice Wilkerson of Reading, PA, Ellen Booth of Leeland, FL, Roxanne Bottom of Elizabeth City, NC, and Joyce Slusher of Dayton, OH; four sons, James B. Wilkerson of Temple, FL, Billy Wilkerson of Winder, GA, James Matchen and Jerry Matchen both Norfolk, VA; one sister, Estelle Roland of Raeford, NC; seventeen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 11:00 AM in New Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Thigpen officiating and full military honors provided by VFW Post #6060. The family will receive friends at the residence.
