Obituary of Wanda Hooper

EC HOOPER Wanda Miller Hooper Wanda Miller Hooper, 84, formerly of Kitty Hawk, NC, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 in Sentara Nursing Home in Barco, NC. She was a native of St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late Thomas Waco Miller, Sr. and Ola Bradley Miller. She was wife of the late Elroy Jones Hooper, Jr., and a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She is survived by one daughter, Carol H. Gaither of Wilmington, NC; two sons, Tom Hooper of Issaquah, WA, and Tim Hooper of Kitty Hawk, NC; three grandchildren, Timothy F. Hooper, Jr., Charles Thomas Hooper, and Kathryn Elizabeth Gaither. She was predeceased by one son, Elroy J. Hooper, III, and one brother, Thomas Waco Miller, Jr. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, March 31, 2005, at 2:00 PM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Josh T. MacKenzie officiating. The family will join receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 P. M. to 7:30 P.M. at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC and other times at 4537 Sea Scape Drive, Kitty Hawk, NC.
