Obituary of Cedric M. Midgett

WAVES, NC CEDRIC MILLER MIDGETT, 89, of Waves, NC died Monday, April 4, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Midgett was born in Avon, NC and was a homemaker. She was a member of Fairhaven United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and Hatteras Island Chapter #303 of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Midgett was the daughter of the late W. Brembra and Caroline Gray Miller and the widow of the late Cecil L. Midgett. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Retta M. Morgan and six brothers, L. Sigsbee Miller, Fred A. Miller, William T. Miller, Dallas B. Miller, Floyd D. Miller, and Columbus Miller. Mrs. Midgett is survived by two sons, David Lance Midgett and wife, Beverly of Waves, NC and Chester Morgan Midgett and wife, Joyce of Virginia Beach, VA; six grandchildren, sixteen great-great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at Fairhaven United Methodist Church, Waves, NC on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Susie Fitch-Slater officiating. Burial will be in the Family Cemetery, Waves, NC. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
