Obituary of Gladys Copeland

Gladys Casper Copeland Chesapeake ‘ Gladys Casper Copeland, 74, of the 3200 block of Walden Street, died April 4, 2005. She was born in Gates County, NC and was the daughter of the late John and Corrie Casper. She was predeceased in death by sister Mary Casper, and brothers Curtis, Jimmie and Waverly Casper. She is survived by her husband Valand J. Copeland, Jr.; a son, Bruce A. Copeland and wife Cindy of Kill Devil Hills, NC; a daughter, Wanda C. Vineyard and husband John of Chesapeake and two grandchildren, Michael and Ashley Vineyard.; brother Luther Casper of Corapeake, NC ; Venelle Morgan of Hertford, NC, Doris Blanchard of Hobbsville, NC and Louise Winslow of Suffolk. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 7 at 1:00 pm at the Copeland Family Cemetery, Tyner, NC with the Rev. Pete Taylor officiating . The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, 929 S. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake Wednesday, April 6 from 7:30 – 8:30 pm .
