Obituary of Corine W. Driggers

MANNS HARBOR, NC CORINE WEBB DRIGGERS, 91, of Manns Harbor, NC, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Driggers was born November 4, 1913 in McRae, Georgia to the late Troy David and Taggie Davis Webb. She was a long time resident of Hollywood, Florida, has resided in Manns Harbor, NC since October, 1998, and was member of Sand Hill Methodist Church, McRae, GA. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Pat Q. Driggers, a son, William P. Driggers, two sisters, Lucille Marino and Louise Webb, a brother, T.A. Webb, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Driggers is survived by a daughter, Shirley R. Hassell and husband, Joseph of Manns Harbor, NC; two sons, Harvey J. Driggers and longtime companion, Ann Nelson of Melbourne, FL and John T. Driggers and wife, Alice of McRae, GA; a daughter-in-law, Patt Sessa Driggers of Pompano, FL; three sisters, Ruth Young and husband, Winford of Anderson, SC, Gladys Buttram and husband, J.C. of Ellenwood, GA, and Gussie Rouse of Charleston, SC; a brother, M.G. Davis of McDonough, GA; fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by Fred Hunter Funeral Home, Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida. Burial will be in Hollywood Memorial Gardens, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with local arrangements.
