Obituary of Jacqueline Manning

EC MANNING Jacqueline Layton Manning, 75, died April 6, 2005 with her family by her side. Jackie was retired with honors of 22 years of service as Chief Deputy with Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Department. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Manning. She is survived by her sons; James Thomas Manning, Jr., of Wilson, NC; Richard Manning and his wife Deborah Smithson Manning of Elizabeth City, NC; Garry Manning and his wife Abbey Hollowell Manning of Elizabeth, NC, and one daughter Tracey Manning Morgan and her husband Richard Morgan of Weeksville, NC; grandchildren Meredith Lea Manning, RN of Elizabeth City, NC, Nathan Hollowell Manning of Elizabeth City, NC, James Thomas Manning, III of Wilson, NC; and her great-grandson Ashton Thomas Manning of Wilson, NC. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 11:00 A. M. at the Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Robert Crisp officiating. Burial will follow the Beaver Hill Cemetery in Edenton, NC. The family will join friends at Twiford Funeral Home, 405 East Church Street, Friday evening April 8th from 7:00 P. M. to 8:30 P. M. The family would like to thank everyone for their support during her long illness, especially her caregivers, Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church and her friends at the Pasquotank County Courthouse. She touched many lives and was deeply loved by her family and the community. She was truly an angel.
