Obituary of Lethia Pierce

EC Pierce Lethia Evans Pierce Chowan County Native Mrs. Lethia Lydia Evans Pierce, age 75, of the 100 block of Bell Street, Elizabeth City, NC, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at her daughter’s residence. Mrs. Pierce, a native of Chowan County, NC, was the daughter of the late George Evans and Sarah Evans Pritchard and the widow of Charlie Clifton Pierce. She was a member of Forest Park Church of God and a homemaker. Mrs. Pierce is survived by four daughters, Jean Sawyer, Connie Bobko, and Michelle Munden, all of Elizabeth City, NC, and Shelia Gordon of Camden, NC; seven sons, Charlie Pierce, Wayne Pierce, Rick Pierce, Jimmy Pierce, Michael Pierce, Jackie Pierce, and Timmy Pierce, all of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Rella Elliott of Tyner, NC, and Gloria Voight of Edenton, NC; one brother, Horace Evans of Daytona Beach, FL; seventeen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Reggie Parker officiating.
