Obituary of James Canham

Mr. James Howard Canham, age 82, of 901 Halstead Boulevard, Elizabeth City, NC, died Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Guardian Care Nursing Home. Mr. Canham, a native of Greenville, SC, was the son of the late Reginald Paul Canham and Margie Waldrop Canham, and was the widower of Louise Surratt Canham. He was a retired cabinet-maker for IXL Furniture and attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Canham is survived by a daughter, Janet Love Canham of Kodiak, AK; two sons, Paul Canham of Norfolk, VA, and Larry Wayne Canham of Daphine, AL; a sister, Sarah Chastine of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Harold Canahm of Taylor’s SC, John Canham of Greenville, SC, and Alton Canham of Jackson’s Gap, AL; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence Canham, William Canham, and Charles Canham. A graveside service will be Monday, April 11, 2005 at 10:00 AM at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Roland Cooper officiating.
