Obituary of James Goin

James L. Goin Chesapeake ‘ James ‘Jimmy Lee’ Goin, 54, died Monday, April 11, 2005. Mr. Goin was born in Powhatan Co., VA. He was a member of the Congregational Freewill Baptist Church, the Chesapeake branch of the American Cruisers and the South Norfolk Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Therese A. Martin-Goin; mother, Beulah Shifflett Goin; daughter Jamie; son Timmy; stepson, Clayton; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Congregational Freewill Baptist Church on Friday at 11:00 am with Rev. Trayhan officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7:00 until 8:30 pm and at the Congregational Freewill Baptist Church following the internment.
