Obituary of Andrew “Drew” Winslow

Andrew Wilfred ‘Drew’ Winslow, 20, of 109 Queenswood Blvd., Elizabeth City, NC died Saturday, April 16, 2005 as a result of an auto accident in Currituck County. He was born in Elizabeth City, NC and was a student at the College of the Albemarle. Drew was the son of Reginald Spivey Winslow of Elizabeth City and Elizabeth Brinn Whitehurst of Elizabeth City. Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Brinn Winslow and wife Denny Leigh Winslow, of Kill Devil Hills, a nephew, Briden Brinn Winslow of Kill Devil Hills; his paternal grandmother, Vivian Spivey Winslow of Belvidere, NC; his step mother, Shelley E. Winslow of Elizabeth City, NC. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gary Whitehurst; his paternal grandfather, Winfred S. ‘Wink’ Winslow and his maternal grandparents, Claude and Alma Liberty Brinn. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 18, 2005, at 2:00pm in the Evangelical Methodist Church by Rev. Max Edwards. Burial will follow in the Cedarwood Cemetery, Hertford, NC. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Evangelical Methodist Church’s Music Fund, 820 Okisko Rd., Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
