Obituary of Benito Gomez

GOMEZ MANTEO, NC Benito ‘Benny’ Gomez, 46, died Friday, April 22, 2005 at the Albemarle Hospital. Mr. Gomez was born in Robertson County, TX and was a roofer. He was the son of Domingo Vela Gomez and Paula Bocanegra Gomez, both of Petersburg, TX. Besides his parents, he is survived by two children; Jovita Riojas and Benjamin Gomez both of Lubbock, TX; nine sisters; Rosa Paredes and husband, Ivan of Dallas, TX, Emelia Barrientos and husband, Johnny of Lubbock, TX, Sandy Miller of Indianapolis, IN, Mary Lou Garza and husband, Art, of Wanchese, Nancy Minor and husband, Chris of Abernathy, TX, Lucy Gonzales and husband, Rocky of Plainview, TX, Linda Moreno and husband, Armondo of Petersburg, TX, Gloria Jay and husband, Mitch of Manteo and Delia Etheridge and husband, Lauris also of Manteo; three brothers, Raymond Gomez and wife, Irma of Point Harbor, Frank Gomez and wife Tammy, of Manteo and Ricky Gomez and wife, Mary Lou of Lubbock, TX and several nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Petersburg, Texas, Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. by the Rev. Hernandez. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery.
