Obituary of Eleanor Lacy

EC LACY Hertford, NC Eleanor Harloe Caldwell Lacy, 85, of 527 Muddy Creek Road, Hertford, NC, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, in Albemarle Hospital. She was native of Winchester, VA, and grew up in Southern Pines, NC, and formerly of Portsmouth, VA. She was the daughter of the late Morton Brock Harloe and Anna Sophie Simpkins. She was a nurse and was a graduate of Duke University, and a member of Evangelical Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; Calvin Lacy, Jr., and three sons, Joel H. Caldwell of Richmond, VA, W. Steven Caldwell of Chaffe, MO, and James F. Caldwell of Knoxville, TN; several grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Richard H. Caldwell, and four sisters. A graveside service will be Saturday, April 30, 2005, at 11:00 AM in New Hollywood Cemetery with the Dr. Rev. Ted Bashford officiating.
