Obituary of Robert “Bucky” Simon

EC SIMON Jarvisburg, NC Robert Garland ‘Bucky’ Simon, 40, of 146 Myrtle Street, Jarvisburg, NC, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, as the result of a construction accident in Suffolk, VA. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, and was employed with Davis Masonry Inc., of Virginia Beach, VA, as a foreman and brick mason. He served in the Pennsylvania State National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Trina Nelson Simon, his parents Robert Greeley Simon and Doris Beasley Simon of Grandy, NC; two daughters Victoria Nelson and Kimberly Simon; one son Robert G. Simon, II all of the residence; two sisters Lisa S. Handke and her husband Richard of Norfolk, VA; and Dodie S. Sable and her husband Marc of Lenhartsville, PA. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 9, 2005 at 11:00 A. M. at Mt Zion United Methodist Church in Grandy, NC, with Rev. Glenn H. McCraine officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will join friends Sunday May 8, from 4:30 P. M. to 6:30 P.
