Obituary of Louise Dollard

DOLLARD SOUTHERN SHORES, NC LOUISE BIORNDALE DOLLARD, 80, a 40 year resident of Southern Shores, died Monday, May 2, 2005 in a Nags Head nursing home. Mrs. Dollard, born in Brooklyn, NY, was a retired Congressional Administrative Assistant. She had also worked with Capitol Airlines, the Danish Consulate, the Danish Embassy and the State Department. Locally, she was a member and chairman of the Dare County Board of Commissioners, a founding member of the Business and Professional Women of Dare County, a founding member of the Democratic Women of Dare County, and a member of the Dare County Health Board. She was also a member of the Duck Woods Country Club and St. Andrews by the Sea Episcopal Church. Mrs. Dollard was the daughter of the late I.C. and Martha Biorndale and was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew F. Dollard, and her daughter, Elizabeth Dollard Bruck. She is survived by her son-in-law, Peter Bruck and two grandchildren, Andrew and Amanda Bruck of Branchburg, NJ. The community will remember Louise at the 10:00 am service of Holy Communion with Healing on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 in the Old Chapel at St. Andrews by the Sea Episcopal Church, 4212 S. Virginia Dare Trail, Nags Head, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Andrews by the Sea Episcopal Church.
