Obituary of Ambrose Sawyer

EC Sawyer Ambrose A. Sawyer, Sr. Resident of Shawboro, NC Mr. Ambrose Augustus Sawyer, Sr., age 76, of 1263 Shawboro Road, Shawboro, NC, died Monday, May 9, 2005, at Winslow Memorial Nursing Home in Elizabeth City. Mr. Sawyer, a native of Perquimans County, was the son of the late Ambrose Levi Sawyer and Bessie Goodwin Sawyer and the husband of Octavia Jones Sawyer of the residence. He was a retired mechanic and a member of The First Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Ambrose A. Sawyer, Jr., of the residence; and a sister, Marie S. Jones of Shawboro, NC. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 3:00 PM at The First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McGee and the Rev. Charles Wellons officiating.
