Obituary of Durla Williams

Durla A. Williams Chesapeake ‘ Durla Anzannetta Alveranga Williams, 47, of the 500 block of Byron St., went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 16, 2005. Mrs. Williams was born in Jamaica. She loved giving of herself. Before becoming ill Mrs. Williams had been active in church, had participated as a missionary, taught handicap children and had done work for the Lupus Foundation. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Partrick George Williams; daughter, Rebekah A. Williams of Chesapeake; father, Dugal Alveranga and wife Gloria of Cleveland, OH; mother Gwendolyn Alford of Jamaica; sister Debra Griffin of Oakland, CA; brother, Dugal Alveranga of Cleveland; and a host of cousins and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake on Saturday at 1:00pm with burial following at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 and at the residence of Partrick Williams at other times.
