Obituary of Liz “Snookie” Dahlborg

KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC MAE ELIZABETH GUIRKIN DAHLBORG, 81, of Kill Devil Hills, NC died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at her residence. Liz, also known as ‘Snookie’ Dahlborg, born in Tuscaloosa, AL, was an Artist and a former employee of The Christmas Shop. She was a graduate of Elizabeth City High School and served for two years in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII as a weather observer. She retired to the Outer Banks in 1978. Liz is survived by a daughter, Deborah Louise Dahlborg, a granddaughter, Lisa Brecht, and great-grandson, Timothy Tillett, all of Kill Devil Hills, NC. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A graveside service will be held in Westlawn Memorial Park, Elizabeth City, NC on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence in Kill Devil Hills. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Dare County SPCA, P.O. Box 3006, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
