Obituary of Vernon Hart, Sr.

Vernon Brooks Hart, Sr. Native of Norfolk, VA Vernon Brooks Hart, Sr., age 65, of 154 Egret Lane, Harbinger, NC, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Hart, a native of Norfolk, VA, was the son of the late John D. Hart and Sarah Louise Monroe Hart and the husband of Helen Heidi Hicks Hart of the residence. He was employed as an Intermediate EMT with the Dare County EMS and had served in the USAF. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Vernon Brooks Hart, Jr., and his wife Patty Tickle Hart of Grandy, NC, and Jay Allan Hart and his wife Jeanne Marie Boutot Hart of Kill Devil Hills, NC; and six grandchildren, Ashleigh Hart, Vernon Hart, III, Megan Doyle, Lauren Doyle, David Joseph Scarborough, and Joseph Erskin Scarborough. A funeral service will be Friday, June 10, 2005, at 7:00 PM at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel and a graveside service will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at Rosewood Cemetery in Norfolk with the Rev. Ken Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends after the funeral service in the lobby of the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
