Obituary of Muriel Lodge Marfarland

Muriel Lodge Macfarland, 94 died Saturday, June 4, 2005 at a Nags Head nursing facility. Mrs. Macfarland was born in Dallas, TX and was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Rev. James Thornton Lodge and the late Florence Selick Lodge and was the window of Charles Stedman Macfarland. She is survived by two daughters; Elizabeth Webber of Newark, DE and Mary Manners of Southern Shores; a foster daughter, Hendricka Vandermeulen of Holland, two sisters, Constance Dey and Elizabeth Edge, both of Tequesta. FL; one brother James Lodge of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Florence McCaall and one brother, Henry Lodge. A memorial service will be held at Saint Andrews By-the Sea on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Charles E. B. Gill officiating. Burial will take place in Newark, DE. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Douglas College of New Brunswick, MJ. The family would like to expresss their deepest gratitude of the staff at Britthaven, especially to Sandy Hoffman, Sally Schwartz and Ray Miller for the car and kindness shown during her stay.
