Obituary of Robert Kelley

Kitty Hawk, NC Robert Emmett Kelley, Jr., 76, of Kitty Hawk, NC, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at his residence. Born in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Emmett Kelley, Sr. and the late Marguerite Brenner Kelley and was the husband of Betty Kelley of the residence. Mr. Kelley was a retired budget analyst for the Federal Government and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and its Men’s Club and served as an usher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War from 1952-1954, an avid gardener, active in the Senior Games at the Baum Center, and had a lifetime love of horses. Besides his wife, Mr. Kelley is survived by a son, Robert E. Kelley, III and wife Cindi of Staunton, VA; two daughters, Dawn Kelley Mull and husband Jeff of Fairfax Station, VA and Stephanie Kelley Erickson and husband Scott of Mt. Holly, NJ; a brother, Michael L. Kelley of Alexandria, VA; a sister, Evangeline Agentovich and husband Ted of Bayonne, NJ; a niece, Vanedda Agentovich of Hopatcong, NJ; and three grandchildren, Shaina, Michael, and Erin. A memorial mass will be conducted on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church by Father William Walsh. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dare Home, Health, and Hospice, P.O. Box 1000, Manteo, NC 27954. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo, NC is in charge of arrangements.
