ELIZABETH CITY, NC Local Youth Volunteer Clyde Jackson Chesson, Jr. ‘Chuck’, 42, of 1811 Fearing Avenue, Elizabeth City, NC, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 24, 2005. He was born in Elizabeth City, son of Betty Bright Chesson and the late Clyde Jackson Chesson, Sr. Chuck was the co-ordinator of Delivery Design for Dominion NC Power where he was employed for 19 years. Survivors include: his wife Tracey King Chesson, a son Drew Chesson, daughter, Sydney Chesson all the of the home; his mother Betty Bright Chesson of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers Steve Chesson and his wife Tammy and their children Jordan and Blake, and Tim Chesson and his wife Mary Beth and their children Brianne, Lindsay and Gracie all of Elizabeth City, NC. Chuck was a wonderfully loving and devoted dad and husband, an active member of Corinth Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with the youth at Corinth, at his children’s schools, and with the local baseball and softball leagues. Chuck coached for more than 16 years. A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held Monday, June 27, 2005, at 11:00 A. M. at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. David Turner officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to: the Corinth Baptist Church Youth Fund, 1035 US 17 South, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
