Obituary of Thomas Brooks Sr.

Thomas M. Brooks Sr. Virginia Beach ‘ Thomas Michael Brooks Sr., 57 died Friday, June 24 2005. Mr. Brooks was born in Newark, NJ, was a retired longshoreman and in his day was and avid fisherman and hunter. He loved working on vehicles and watching racing. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife Sadie M. Brooks, who dearly loved him; two sons, Thomas Brooks Jr. and Arthur Rapp of VA Beach; two sisters, Lynda Neilsen of Newport News and Theresa Bryant of Manteo, NC; and granddaughter, Heather Rapp of VA Beach. The family will receive friends at Twiford’s Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake on Monday from 6:00 until 7:30 pm. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 pm. Friends are welcome to pay their respects all day Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
