Obituary of Larry M. Parker

KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC LARRY McCOY PARKER, 68, of Kill Devil Hills, NC died Monday, June 27, 2005 in a Norfolk, Va. hospital. Mr. Parker, born in Kitty Hawk, NC, was a retired building contractor and commercial fisherman. He was a member of the Manteo Masonic Lodge # 521 and was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Coast Guard. He was the son of the late Ronald Earl Parker, Sr. and the late Alethia Bell Perry Parker. Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Donis Beasley Parker of the residence; a daughter, Kimberly Murray and husband, Earl of Kill Devil Hills, NC; two sons, Larry Reid Parker and companion, Beverly O’Leary of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Jamie Scott Parker and wife, Kim also of Kill Devil Hills, NC; three brothers, Claude Parker of Orlando, FL, Ronald E. Parker of Kill Devil Hills, NC and Wayne W. Parker of Dade City, FL; five grandchildren, Jennifer Haywood and husband, Mikey Buck, Jamie S. Parker, Jr., Brittany Parker, Sami Jo Murray, and Paige Murray; and two great-grandchildren, Leah and Jordan Haywood. Funeral services will be held at Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jim Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm and at other times at the residence. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Colington, NC. Twiford’s Colony Chapel, Manteo is assisting the family with arrangements.
