Obituary of Evelyn Garrett

EVELYN CAIN BENTON GARRETT Native of Bladen Co., NC Evelyn Cain Benton Garrett, 77, of 106 Porpoise St., Moyock, NC died Monday, July 4, 2005 in the Albemarle Hospital. She was a native of Bladen County, NC and was the daughter of the late Owen B. and Annie Coble Cain. Mrs. Garrett was the wife of Thomas L. Garrett. She was a member of Pilmoor United Methodist Church. Besides her husband, Mrs. Garrett is survived by two sons, Dale Benton and wife, Carolyn, of Goldsboro, NC and Gale Benton and wife, Lynn of Moyock, NC; five sisters, Mildred Davidson of Garland, NC, Lois Bowman of Charlotte, NC, Alta Mae Budd of Fayetteville, NC, Elzola Padgett of Ammon, NC and Carolyn Peterson of Garland, NC; two brothers, Beatty Cain, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC and David Cain of Clarkton, NC. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Tiffany Rodriguez, Christine Benton and Christopher Benton; three great grandchildren, Leah Rodriguez, Autumn Benton, and Emily Rodriguez. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 8, 2005, at 1:00pm in the Pilmoor United Methodist Church by Rev. Scott Wilson-Parsons. Burial will follow in the Moyock Memorial Cemetery.
