Dear Pete and family,
Today I have been editing a family recipe book I compiled, and Donna’s recipe for no-bake oatmeal cookies is part of the book. She gave it to me while we were on Guam between 1964 and 1966. On an impulse I Googled and found her obituary, so I’m writing this note to offer condolences, although it’s very late.
Ben (you probably knew him as Whitey) passed away in April 2002. We had been living in the little town of Milford, west of Lincoln, Nebraska, and I sold our home and moved to a senior apartment in Lincoln four years ago.
I’ve been doing a lot of genealogical research and have focused on Cleveland on one line–not my own family.
I’m sorry to touch base in such a sad way. If your kids have lost track of that recipe, I still have it and use it occasionally and will share.
